The General Conference
The General Conference (GC) is UNIDO’s supreme policymaking organ where all Member States meet once every two years. It determines the guiding principles and policies of the Organization, approves the budget and work programme of UNIDO. Every four years, the GC appoints the Director-General. The current Director-General, Mr. LI Yong (China), assumed office in June 2013. The GC also elects the members of the Industrial Development Board and the Programme and Budget Committee.
