The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) was established in 1974. The Institute researches and provides knowledge to governments and international institutions in the areas of energy, environment, forestry, biotechnology, as well as in the conservation of natural resources.
TERI and UNIDO work together on a variety of energy related projects, as both organizations work with research, training and demonstration projects leading to specific problem-based advanced technologies in the area of energy and environment.
The director of TERI, Rajendra K. Pachauri, is UNIDO’s Goodwill ambassdor since 2008.
